About Us

L.A.D.A.C is one of Scotland's oldest and largest fly fishing clubs. Based around the town of Lochgilphead, Argyll on the West Coast of Scotland. Members have access to 15 Hill lochs stocked with superb Brown Trout. 9 of which have boats on them.

Visitors can either bank fish on a selection of 8 lochs or hire boats on 3.  Permits are £10 per day from the bank and boats are £10 per day + £10 per angler.

We also have a "Wheely Boat" on Loch Barnluasgan which visitors and members that need wheelchair access to fish can use. The boat comes with a boat seat and electric outboard. We only charge £3 per angler for a permit, The wheely boat is free to use.

Our Lochs have a great head of natural Brown Trout, Our re-stocking process is carefully carried out and we only replace the fish that are removed from the water. We source some of Scotlands best Trout from Howieton.

The first few months of the season brings great hatches of Dark Olives, as the season progresses heather Flies (Bibio) and sedges get the fish feeding on the surface and can induce some awesome fishing. Loch Chollie-Bhar which is available for boat fishing is our only loch that has hatches of Mayflies from early June onwards.
